Femtosecond laser system This home-build laser system consists of a titanium-sapphire oscillator, pulse stretcher, pulse selector, pulse amplifier and pulse compressor (see diagram). The Ti:Al2O3 oscillator is pumped by an argon ion laser (Coherent) and the amplifier is pumped by a Nd:YLF laser (Quantronix). The system produces 100-uJ, 23-fs pulses. |
