JACEK KORCHOWIEC - ORGANIZACJA KONFERENCJI


Zakład Chemii Teoretycznej (ZChT) im. Kazimierza Gumińskiego, wspólnie z Zakładem Metod Obliczeniowych Chemii (ZMOCh), organizuje międzynarodowe konferencje: Current Trends in Theoretical Chemistry (CTTC). Ostatnia, ósma konferencja z serii CTTC (CTTC VIII) odbyła się w ubiegłym roku. Począwszy od 2013 roku, konferencje organizowane są co trzy lata. Głównymi organizatorami konferencji są Andrzej Eilmes i Jacek Korchowiec, kierownicy ZMOCh i ZChT. Tematyka konferencji pokrywa całe spektrum zagadnień, istotnych dla współczesnej chemii teoretycznej i obliczeniowej. Wśród nich należy wymienić: korelację elektronową, teorię funkcjonałów gęstości (DFT), zależną od czasu DFT, metody obliczeniowe skalujące się liniowo z wielkością układów molekularnych, obliczanie różnorodnych właściwości molekularnych, teorię reaktywności chemicznej, dynamikę molekularną, modelowanie procesów katalitycznych, modelowanie układów biologicznych, etc. Zaproszonymi wykładowcami byli wybitni specjaliści o uznanej renomie międzynarodowej. Kolejna konferencja odbędzie się w 2023 roku, najprawdopodobniej, jak zawsze na początku września.
