- Crystal-structure determination from powder-diffraction data; Implementation and application of the newest methods in this field.
- Synthesis and characterisation of fibrillar, and layered polymolybdates, peroxopolymolybdates, peroxopolyvanadates and similar compounds
- Structural investigation of various complexes (Schiff bases-metals, DMAN proton sponge-acids, etc.)
- Application of powder diffraction methods in materials science, pharmacology, medicine, food sciences and investigations of art objects
Achievements
- Successful crystal structure solution of Aza- and imine- analogs of 8-styrylxanthine the compounds which are of interest in pharmacology.
- Application of pseudo-atom method in the investigation of proton sponge (DMAN) and nitrosophenol complex.
- Application of PATSEE program to structural investigations in powder diffractometry.
- Successful crystal structure solution of vanadium and 2-hydroxy-3-methyl-2- cyclopenten-1-one complex as well as the complex of famotidine and Ni, with the use of laboratory X-ray data.
- Successful crystal structure solution of numerous structures (25-30 atoms in the asymmetric unit) on the basis of polycrystalline measurements (synchrotron and x-ray laboratory data).
- Elaboration of POWDER DIFFRACTION DATA FOR PHASE CHARACTERIZATION for more than 250 compounds.
