The group uses a setup for measurements of laser-induced fluorescence of jet-cooled molecules. Due to adiabatic expansion of the carrier gas from the pressure of several bars to the pressure of high vacuum molecules of the investigated compound, present in the carrier gas as vapour, get cooled to a temperature of several kelvins. Therefore, in the measured spectrum, the electronic-vibrational structure is fully resolved.
