The conference was the sixth in the cycle "Current Trends in Theoretical Chemistry". The previous five meetings took place in 1984, 1987, 1990, 2002, and 2008. The CTTC VI conference gathered about 90 participants from almost 20 countries.

44 talks and 53 posters presented at the conference covered various aspects of theoretical chemistry from basic theory and methodological developments to applications.
